 What are the basic Application of Computer?

The use of computers is increasing at such a rate that there is hardly any sector where there are no computers.
The following is a list of some of the computer applications used.
1.To prepare documents and perform other data processing tasks in offices and homes.
2. Preparation of pay slips and pay checks in offices and factories.
3. To maintain bank accounts and transfer funds.
4. Collecting and retrieving large amounts of information in offices.
5. Sending and receiving electronic mail / fax.
6. Searching and retrieving information from other computers.
7. To reserve tickets in transport sectors, such as railways, airlines, etc.
8. Regulating traffic lights on roads and controlling machines and robots in factories.
9. Designing vehicles, buildings and dams and forecasting the weather.
10. Making animation / cartoon movies and composing music.
11. To control modern automobiles, trains, airplanes etc.
 12. To control electronic appliances, such as air-conditioner, TVs, VCRs etc. 
13. To On-line banking, buy and sell merchandise, shares, bonds, etc. 
14. To control and simulate defense equipments.

15.For scientific and industrial research.

Basic functions of Computer?

Input:

Computers receive data from outside There are many devices that are used to receive data and Instructions from the outside world. The keyboard is one of the most used inputs on your computer.

Storage:

When you enter data or instructions into a computer, they are stored somewhere in the computer system.Because the computer cannot immediately process or analyze all input data, it has to store the data.The computer will receive data / instructions from the storage unit when it has to process it. 
Data needs to be stored for later processing.

Processing:

Computers process ( analyze ) the input data available in its storage unit in order to get some useful output.

Output:

After processing the computer's input data, it provides useful information (results).
